Bonding

Dental bonding is one of the most in-demand restoration procedures these days. It is used to make small cosmetic improvements and it may be conveniently done in a single visit to our clinic. This is an efficient solution to close spaces between teeth, conceal flaws, or enhance the color or shape of teeth.

The procedure involves bonding tooth-colored resin to a tooth and curing it with ultraviolet light. This option is more convenient and less expensive than veneers and crowns, making it ideal for minor cosmetic touchups. As it does not involve anything to be made in a dental lab, you may go home the same day with better-looking teeth.

In addition, dental bonding involves removing less of the tooth enamel compared to veneers and crowns.

How Dr. Bram does it

Bonding procedure usually requires 30 to 60 minutes. First, Dr. Bram will determine your teeth’s exact shade to choose a resin that will blend naturally. He will also select a resin with the same translucency and texture as your natural teeth.

After this, he will prepare the tooth by slightly roughening its surface and applying liquid conditioner. These are done for the bonding material to adhere easier.

Once your tooth is ready, Dr. Bram will apply the resin to it. He will then cure it using ultraviolet light. He will shape and polish the resin to attain the perfect fit and shape.
