The OpusDent laser provides one of the best technologies for successfully and effectively treating canker sores. Dr. Bram uses low power laser features to quickly and efficiently treat affected areas that can typically involve lip tissue, the tongue, inner cheek tissues and gingival areas.

In the first of our procedure photos it can be seen that our young male patient has a canker sore located on the tip of the tongue. Although ideally isolated.. the lesion is very painful for the patient and affects his ability to speak and eat a variety of foods.

In the second photograph Dr. Bram is applying the laser tip that is especially designed for canker sore treatment.

The application of laser energy lasts for only several seconds. A very comfortable procedure that is virtually pain free ... during treatment and post operatively.

Sedation or even local anesthesia is not needed... except in rare cases.

The last photo shows the appearance of the Canker sore immediately after treatment. The lesion has been successfully removed. The red areas that remain are the inflammed surrounding tissues that existed prior to treatment. The inflammation will disappear within a few days while the treated area completely heals.
