Although a variety of procedures and treatment plans were discussed that would provide different degrees of cosmetic and functional result... the patient considered dental implants to be the best procedure.The first photo in this series shows the lower jaw several weeks after the implants and abutments were placed. The second photo shows the selective use of dental implant materials. Notice how the posterior areas have been prepared with telescoping abutments while the anterior (front) area of the mandible shows the use of another type of implant technology.The rear biting surfaces typically bear more physical forces (chewing and grinding), compared to the front anterior teeth. Selecting the correct type of implant device assures minimization of failure in implanted molars. 
The anterior implants are optimally suited for the size and dental function that is normally associated for these more narrow implants.Implant CompletionThe third and forth photos refect the final insertion of the dental implants and the final cosmetic result. As can be seen in the 3rd photo especially, our patient has regained optimal bite, occlusion and overall dental function.
