In the first pre-treatment photo our patient readily shows a missing tooth that came about from a failed root canal. The tooth broke off at the gum line.

The patient also had two discolored anterior crowns on his large front two teeth.

Our patient had two primary goals. To obtain treatments that would restablish the best dental function possible and to recreate the harmony across his upper arch that he felt he was suppossed to have: teeth that fit his smile and smile line, along with color and shading effects that would make them look and feel natural.

Gold Standard of Tooth Replacement

Since the patient was interested in the best treatment possible for replacing the broken tooth, he agreed with Dr. Bram's recommendation of using Nobel Biocare implant products to provide a root form artificial tooth that would ensure bone stimulation at the missing tooth site would be optimized (only dental implants provide this function).

Knowing in advance that the implant tooth would be very natural in appearance and function, the patient decided to crown or recrown 3 adjacent teeth. This would include the replacement of the unsightly crowns that have yellowed.
